| Yahoo! Answers: How can I convince my parents to let me get a motorcycle? Alright. Well I'm 16 years old. I've been driving for 6 months now. No tickets or anything. I have a job and I make about 110 a week. I've already been saving and I have about 470 dollars. So far I have to wait til I'm 18 to get one. But I want one sooner. My dad had a motorcycle when he was 16 before he even had a car. But he says i can't have one because he lived in Oregon and it's supposedly different there? I live in Murray Utah. There are two kids at my school with motorcycles and a kid with a scooter. My mom thinks I will instantly die on a motorcycle. I am very responsible. I will always wear a helmet (it's just plain stupid not to) and I am planning on taking the MSF course which they do at my schools parking lot. I have driven a motorcycle before. I am thinking about being a motorcycle designer when I'm older. Ive drawn like a million of them. I am interested in sport bikes. I just love the style of them. The sound of their engines. They seem so high tech and everything. I probably wouldn't even have enough money until I'm like a junior anyways. But whay more do I need to do?? I've already made a typed four page letter on why they should let me get one. And I was really close... But what else can I do? |
